The itinerary will lead you to discover Santo Stefano Quisquina through the eyes of a young local guide, a passionate keeper of the territory's anecdotes and curiosities. The path begins by diving into the origins of the village, founded in the medieval era around an ancient hamlet and developed over centuries thanks to its fertile water springs. Walking through the alleys, you will reach piazza Castello, the true historic heart of the town, dominated by the 17th-century Baronial Palace of the Ventimiglia family, the nobles who deeply shaped the settlement's growth.

During the tour, you will also visit the ethno-anthropological house-museum, a valuable space to understand the authentic agricultural and pastoral life of the Sicilian hinterland in the past. Inside the museum, you will delve deeper into the connection with the cultures that dominated the island over the centuries, from the Byzantines to the Arabs and the Normans, which still influence the town's culture and history today. The guide's narrative will cover different historical contexts and highly relevant figures for the area, from the ancient feudal events of the lords of Monte delle Rose to the spiritual figure of Saint Rosalia and the Dominican martyr Saint Giacinto Giordano Ansalone. The experience ends inside the town garden (villa comunale), a true botanical jewel and natural oasis rich in an extraordinary variety of plants, where you can walk and relax immersed in the greenery and quiet of mountain nature.
