Delete your Local Way account
You can request deletion of your Local Way account and associated personal data without installing the app or signing in. Local Way S.r.l. handles these requests.
Request deletion by email
- Email [email protected] from the email address registered to your Local Way account.
- Use the subject "Privacy: Delete Local Way account" and tell us that you want your account and associated personal data deleted.
- If you cannot access your registered email address, contact the same address so we can help verify your identity. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes.
We normally respond within one calendar month. If a request is complex and needs more time, we will explain the extension. You can also use this email address to request deletion of specific personal data while keeping your account.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Local Way and sign in.
- Open Profile, then Delete account.
- Read the confirmation, type the confirmation word shown, and confirm deletion.
If you have an active booking or a payment in progress, in-app deletion may be unavailable. Complete or cancel the booking, wait for the payment to finish, or email us for help with your deletion request.
What is deleted
In-app deletion removes your sign-in account and profile, wishlists, cart, notifications and device notification tokens. You will be signed out and will no longer be able to use that account.
What may be retained and for how long
- Booking, payment, checkout, customer and invoice records, including necessary buyer details, may be retained for refunds, accounting, tax obligations, fraud prevention and legal claims. Transaction and accounting records are generally retained for up to 10 years, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Reviews and conversations are not automatically removed by in-app account deletion. Include them in your email request if you want their associated personal data erased. Service communications may be retained for up to 10 years where needed for legal obligations or claims; records needed for a dispute may be retained until the relevant limitation period expires.
- Payment-provider records may also be retained for payment, refund and legal obligations. Security logs are normally retained for up to 12 months, unless needed for an investigation. Fully anonymised or aggregated data may be kept without identifying you.
We assess requests to delete associated personal data and explain any information we must retain and the applicable reason. Retention is limited to the purposes and periods set out in our Privacy Policy.
