Short Description
An off-road excursion through the high-altitude vineyards of the Belice Valley and Sicani Mountains, concluding with a guided tasting of excellent native wines.
Full Description
This experience stems from the story of a Sicilian family who, since the 1970s, tied their future to viticulture across the landscape between Santa Margherita di Belìce and Contessa Entellina, an area steeped in history and literary influences. Today, that dedication endures through the stewardship of historic native grape varieties and the production of quality wines reflecting the character and geology of the region.
The tour aboard a 4x4 vehicle begins where the horizon opens wide into the Belìce Valley, amid rolling hills and Mediterranean light. The itinerary winds along trails climbing toward the Sicani Mountains, a rugged setting where elevation grants the vineyards a distinctive microclimate. Along the way, you can observe the variety of soils, from limestone to clay, discovering how the ground nourishes native grape varieties such as Grillo, Catarratto, and Nero d’Avola. The highlight of the day takes place in the glass: you will sample a selection of estate labels, accompanied by bites of local specialties.
