Three Sanctuaries Hike

A guided hike in the heart of the Sicani Mountains in the area surrounding Santo Stefano Quisquina, combining a visit to three historic sacred sites and the striking Andromeda Theater within a hiking route of outstanding beauty and variety.

This moderate-level hiking excursion will guide you through the spiritual, scenic, and artistic heritage of the Santo Stefano Quisquina area. The walking route winds along the natural trails of the Sicani Mountains, offering sweeping panoramic views over the surrounding valleys, allowing you to catch a glimpse of the sea on clear days.

The itinerary blends trekking with a guided cultural tour of four fascinating sites: we will begin in the town center with the Madre Church, then ascend toward the panoramic Church of San Calogero and the historic Quisquina Hermitage of Santa Rosalia, a place of deep silence nestled in the woods. The trail will also reach the famous Andromeda Theater, a high-altitude stone artwork perfectly integrated into the landscape. The experience spans across the day and includes a break for a packed lunch in a scenic natural area. The hike is open to younger walkers, provided they are sufficiently used to uphill trails, as well as to four-legged friends.
